In order to maximize the brain potential, exercising the brain is important.
By doing puzzles or solving problems, the brain starts working.
This can help reduce the chances of getting Alzheimer's disease.
This are some of the questions you can start solving and have fun :D
Question:
1) Find the next number in the series:
1...2...5...14...41...122...?
» Click to show the answer «
Steps:
1 + 1 =2
2 + (1 * 3) = 5
5 + (3 * 3) = 14
14 + (9 * 3) = 41
41 + (27 * 3) = 122
122 + (81 * 3) = 365
Ans - 365
2) My Mother was 27 when I was born. 8 years ago she was twice as old
as I shall be in 5 years' time. How old am I?
» Click to show the answer «
Steps:
You are "A" years old and Your mother is "A" + 27 years old.
8 years ago, your mother was "A" + 27 - 8 = "A" + 19
In 5 years time, You will be "A" + 5
"A" + 19 is twice as much as "A" + 5
So A + 19 = 2 ( "A" + 5 )
"A" + 19 = 2"A" + 10
"A" = 9
So you will be 9 years old and your mother will be 9 + 27 = 36
Backword checking:
8 years ago, you were 1 years old, your mother will be 28 years old
5 years later, you will be 9 + 5 = 14 years old
Ans - 14 years old
3) Lets say if
2 + 3 = 10
6 + 5 = 66
7 + 2 = 63
8 + 4 = 96
Then what is
9 + 7 equals to?
» Click to show the answer «
First Step:
logically 2 + 3 = 5 but in this case it equals to 10
and 4 + 4 = 8 but in this case it is 32
and 6 + 5 should be 11 but 66.
By listing them out we found out that there is a pattern in this question.
In all the cases, all the number is being multipied by the first number thus
giving the answer of 10, 32, 66, 63 and 96 respectively
2 + 3 = 5 ( * 2 ) = 10
4 + 4 = 8 ( * 4 ) = 32 and so on and
thus
9 + 7 = 16 ( * 9 ) = 144
Answer: 144
